ویژگی‌های مهم
پس از ظهور de:Vorlage:Infobox Gemeinde in Deutschland در بسیاری از مکان‌ها در ویکی آلمانی، فیلدهای متغیر از همان عناوین استفاده می‌کنند تا بکارگیری آن در جاهای دیگر برای ویرایشگران
(با بکارگیری زبان انگلیسی) آسان‌تر باشد.
برای بسیاری از فیلدها از آلمانی آن نیز می‌توان استفاده کرد (بدون ترجمه) در حالی که مقدار ترجمه‌شدهٔ آن نمایش داده خواهد شد.
- به عنوان مثال با وارد کردن «Bundesland = Hesse»، چیزی که جعبه اطلاعات نمایش می‌دهد، «ایالت: هسن» خواهد بود
متغیرهایی که نام انگلیسی دارند مربوط به ویژگی‌هایی می‌شوند که درInfobox Ort in Deutschland وجود نداشتند.
قابلیت‌های مهم جدید در مقایسه با {{Infobox Town DE}}:
- برای هر مدخلی دیگر نیاز به وارد کردن نقشه مکان نیست، تنها با وارد کردن مختصات نقشه نمایش داده می‌شود.
- اطلاعات جمعیت به‌شکل خودکار از {{Population Germany}} تراگنجانش می‌شود.
- Area, population density and elevation automatically displayed in both metric and imperial units
- Auto-categorisation of entries, depending on values entered
- Optional 2nd map (Lageplan) at bottom, to display location in more detail.
قابلیت‌های مهم جدید در مقایسه با de:Vorlage:Infobox Ort in Deutschland:
- Can give year of city foundation: places article in "Category:xxxx establishments"
- Can display representative photo of location (a feature of Infobox Town DE, which, for some reason, was never used) (eg. see: کلن)
- In addition to displaying the political party of the mayor/lord mayor/etc., it is also possible to display the ruling parties. Currently, a coalition of up to 3 parties is supported - if more are needed, please report it on the template talk page) (eg. see: براونشوایگ).
ریزقالب
The HTML mark up produced by this template includes an hCard microformat, which makes the place-name and location parsable by computers, either acting automatically to catalogue articles across Wikipedia, or via a browser tool operated by a person, to (for example) add the subject to an address book. Within the hCard is a Geo microformat, which additionally makes the coordinates (latitude & longitude) parsable, so that they can be, say, looked up on a map, or downloaded to a GPS unit. خواهشمند است این کلاس‌ها را تغییرنام ندهید یا حذف نکنید. عناصر تودرتویی که از آنها استفاده می‌کنند را نیز به حالت جمع‌شده درنیاورید.
دقت
هنگام ارائه مختصات، خواهشمند است از سطح مناسبی از دقت استفاده کنید. پارامتر |name= از الگوی {{coord}} را بکار نبرید.
