This audio clip was recorded using a commercial UHF/VHF transceiver with a handheld homebrew UHF aerial. I made a rough prediction of the satellite pass using gpredict, and the frequencies were published on the Amsat mailing list. As the pass started, I tuned the radio manually to compensate for Doppler shift and tracked the satellite across the sky by sweeping to find the point where the signal was strongest.
