زبان مصری

یکی از زبان‌های آفریقایی-آسیایی که در مصر باستان بدان سخن گفته می‌شد و اکنون تقریباً متقرض شده‌است

زبان مصری نام یکی از زیرشاخه‌های خانوادهٔ زبان‌های آفریقایی-آسیایی است. زبان مصری به زبانی گفته می‌شود که در دورهٔ زمانی میان ۲٬۷۰۰ سال پیش از میلاد تا سال ۱٬۰۰۰ میلادی در مصر تکلم می‌شده است.

امروزه از مجموعه بزرگی از متون باقیمانده که به دنبال رمزگشایی خط‌های مصر باستان در اوایل قرن نوزدهم در دسترس جهان مدرن قرار گرفته‌اند، شناخته شده است. مصری یکی از قدیمی‌ترین زبان‌های نوشتاری است که اولین بار به خط هیروگلیف در اواخر هزاره چهارم قبل از میلاد ثبت شد. زبان‌های مصری:
