توضیح
English: Red rose of Lancaster with five petals and five green leaves on either side and green stem all on a khaki rectangle.
English: History note: This badge may be embroidered, possibly even finely hand embroidered, over a printed version. The badge was essentially the same as that used by the 55th Division during the First World War. The five petals, sepals and leaves were intended to represent the Divisional number. Versions of the badge are to be found with circular and rectangular backgrounds. The Division was a first-line Territorial Division in September 1939, comprising TA units from Liverpool and West Lancashire. It was organised as a motor division, that is with just two brigades and supporting arms but with integral motor transport for its infantry. It reorganised as a standard infantry division in June 1940. The Division was placed on lower establishment in January 1942 but reverted to higher establishment in May 1944. The Division remained in the UK as part of Home Forces and latterly in a training role. The sign was adopted by 87th Army Group RA (AGRA) on 1 January 1947 on the reconstitution of the Territorial Army (TA). The HQ was in Liverpool and the five units under command comprised four from West Lancashire and one from the Midlands, hence the connection with the Second World War 55th Division. At some time, date unknown, the badge was changed to a black phoenix rising from yellow flames on a blue ground. The AGRA was disbanded on 31 October 1955
English: Vector image details: IWM jpg is a screen-printed red rose on a green stem; it appears the rose is misregistered in relation to the stem and leaves, so this version is speculative and assumes the leaves that peek out between the rose petals should be more symmetric.
